With [ICA](https://www.icahdq.org/) fast approaching, a reminder that it’s not too late to register for the CHIG pre-conference, [“Historiography as Intervention,”](https://communicationhistory.org/precon/) to be hosted on Thursday, May 24 from 8:30AM until 5:30PM. The pre-conference will bring together scholars working at the intersection of the disciplines of communication and history to discuss the meanings, fault lines, and politics of our historical work. * Keynote address by Anna Everett, Professor of Film and Media Studies, University of California at Santa Barbara
* Invited Scholars Panel, “What Counts as Communication History?,” featuring David Serlin (University of California – San Diego), Norma Coates (University of Western Ontario), and Christian Schwarzenegger (Institute for Media and Educational Technology, Augsburg University)
* Interactive Korsakow System documentary by Mary Elizabeth Luka
* Presentations from South Africa, Israel, Mexico, Canada, and the United States on recovered histories, critical practice, policy engagements, and interdisciplinarity
